Music producer embraces AI with new artiste
Producer Wayne Scott, aka Sussumba, has jumped on the artificial intelligence (AI) train, releasing a series of songs by an AI recording artiste called Ruby Mandella.
Describing her as an African-Jamaican persona, Scott used an app to create her avatar and wrote the lyrics.
"Her name is Ruby because of my mom and Mandella because I have great respect for him [Nelson Mandela]," Scott highlighted. Through his label, Ghetto Gourmet Ruby, he has released several songs with Ruby Mandella, including No Doubt, Freedom and Like an Eagle.
"The feedback has been phenomenal; so many people are linking me asking for more music," Scott stated, revealing that an album is slated for release soon. He cited that there is an importance in using AI tools as it is the way of the future. As a musician, author, visual artiste, businessman and recording artiste, Scott is all about evolving and staying flexible as a creative.
"Millions of tracks are being released by AI. It makes the work easier and it always comes out well," Scott said.
While there are mixed reactions and responses to these newest AI innovations, Scott is using the opportunity to try something new. He has experienced many challenges in the past working with artistes, and this venture into AI has helped him greatly.
"Some people are afraid of change, but I welcome it. I am always finding ways of improving myself," he added.
