Princess Ann ready for spotlight
Growing up in the rural community of Devon, Hibernia, in Manchester, Princess Ann developed an affinity for music once she heard Celine Dion's R&B hit My Heart Will Go On, which was recorded in 1997 as the theme for the movie Titanic.
"I'm a huge Celine Dion fan. I love all her songs, especially My Heart Will Go On. She's one of my biggest musical influences and a big part of the reason I decided to become a recording artiste," said Princess Ann. "I am happy that I chose this career path, because music gives me an outlet to express my thoughts and entertain people. If I didn't choose music, I would have chosen acting because I love to entertain."
The dancehall singer is determined to make her mark in the music business.
"I have the talent and the image to make it big in the music biz, and I'm ready to step into the spotlight," said the artiste. Princess Ann is currently promoting her new single, Cheating Game.
"I'm getting great feedback about my new single, it's getting support from DJs both locally and abroad. I have to give a big shout-out to everyone who helped with the production of this song, including my producer Everrol Rose, my songwriter Marcus Hunter, and my beatmaker Dennis Fearon," she said.
Princess Ann, given name Kerry Ann Campbell, made her recording debut last year with the release of the single Real Ghetto Woman on the Black Star Lines label. Other songs include Different, I Am Not Afraid and Ooh Baby.
