Shenseea mourns loss of her mother

Dancehall artiste Shenseea is mourning the death of her mother.

The Shenyeng Anthem singer made the announcement of her mother's passing, early Thursday morning via an Instagram post, sending shockwaves throughout the entire music industry.

"Mommy my heart is BROKEN Mommy. Broken. I never knew I had this much tears until this day! I ask God for strength just strength. I love you forever. #RIP #RIP#RIP my mada and fada ina one," a part of the caption read under a photo of her mother seemingly in a hospital bed. "Jah know mi mada, I'll never forget you EVER!" she posted.

Details surrounding the cause of death are unknown at this time, as the dancehall princess did not disclose any personal information in confirming the sad news.

She has asked fans to not remind her of the tragedy if they see her in public, pointing out that her heart is 'weary.'
