Think my brother-in-law got me pregnant

April 19, 2021

Dear Pastor,

I am 23 years old and I am two months pregnant. I am not a bad girl, but I am not sure who got me pregnant. I went to stay for two days with my sister, and her husband forced me to have sex with him. I am telling you the truth, Pastor. I always liked him and he knew that. In fact, he had asked me to marry him before he proposed to my sister.

But I never told her that he had proposed to me. There were two reasons why I didn't want to become his wife. The first reason is that he is 10 years older than I am, and the second reason is that he is very tall and I am very short. I can also add that he is very rough. Even my sister always complains about how rough he is. She says he has a temper. They have been married for five years and my sister is trying to get pregnant. I am staying with my sister because I have to do some business in the Corporate Area.

Early in the morning on the day of the incident, this man dropped my sister off at work and came back. I was still in bed and he knocked on my door and I said "come". He came in, looked at me and said, "Good graces, what lovely breasts". I wrapped my legs together and he sat down on the bed and started to talk. He brought up old conversations about why I did not marry him and I told him that it was water under the bridge because he was happily married to my sister. He said he was thinking about me. I started to get nervous because I wasn't thinking about him because I had a boyfriend. He offered to make me breakfast and I told him to go ahead. That gave me a chance to go to the bathroom.

After having my shower I had the breakfast but my brother-in-law asked me if I would spend time with him. He said that he would take the day off and I told him he should go to work.

He held me and kissed me. I did not know how to resist this tall, 'chaptin' man. I became so weak. He lifted me and took me to my room and had sex with me for about half an hour. I was so stupid that I didn't ask if he had a condom. He told me that he didn't have any. I went home the following day and my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. Now I am two months pregnant.

I don't know which one of these men got me pregnant. My boyfriend has no reason to ask me if the child is his because he doesn't know me as a cheater. But if it is for my sister's husband, I don't know what I would do with myself. She would never forgive me. I have not told her husband that I am pregnant. I am afraid to do so and that is why I am asking for your advice.

D.

Dear D.,

I don't think that you are telling the truth about what happened between you and your brother-in-law. You said he forced you but he did not force you. He made breakfast for you then he wooed you. What kind of resistance did you put up? None at all. Your knees became weak. Whether this man got you pregnant or your boyfriend, it will be easy to find out. A DNA test will declare who is the biological father of the child you are carrying. You and your brother-in-law were very careless and if you are pregnant for him, I hope your boyfriend breaks up with you because you can't be trusted. If the baby belongs to your brother-in-law, I hope that he will support the child. I wish you well.
